Tech Thursday x Flying Cars?

September 2, 2010

Terrafugia, yes that’s its name. This company may not be on the level as Marty and co. in Back To The Future, but they’re definitely making moves to bring “flying” cars to the masses. The thing is, they’re making mega strides to make flying happen. These dual purpose vehicles drive and then fly for short distances. We still have a ways, but props to Terrafugia for making it happen.

Martin Frei Presents the Urwerk CC-1 Cobra

July 22, 2010

Martin Frei Presents the Urwerk CC-1 Cobra from Hodinkee on Vimeo.

Spotted this on hypebeast, check it out.

Sometime back Hodinkee had the chance to sit down with Martin Frei, chief designer for modern haute horology brand Urwerk. He walked them through his entire design philosophy and explained each of Urwerk’s timepieces. Just a few weeks back, Urwerk released their Black Cobra CC-1 that got the whole world buzzing. The Cobra looks good, there is no doubt about that, but after reading some other blogs posts on this watch, it was clear that readers can’t really grasp this watch until they see it in action. Luckily, they have this video of Martin explaining the original Cobra. Watch below and you’ll see why!
